The mod's central villain — a self-proclaimed "underwater god" version of SpongeBob who opens the story by challenging SpongeWarrior to his "underwater game." Treats every confrontation as a performance and presides over all three arcs.
The hero figure the mod's story arc is built around — a version of SpongeBob marked by prophecy as the one meant to face Spongephanes. Acts as the player-aligned lead through the early story beats.
A darker, more menacing presence tied to the track "F is for Fevil" — which doubles as a teaser for a separate related mod project by the same composer. Distinct from Spongephanes in tone and motive, he is also the figure behind the bargain with Bob el Triste that pays off in V3's "For You, Someday."
Revealed mid-song in "Sunderwater," confronting a character called Squidwirdy. One of the more unsettling introductions in the early tracklist — appears suddenly at a turning point in the track rather than being introduced beforehand.
A twisted take on Squidward who faces Spongebud's confrontation in "Sunderwater." Plays a reactive, dread-driven role — the encounter is framed more as an ambush than a fair fight.
One of Spongephanes' closest companions, encountered by the player characters during "Catch and Fish" while exploring deeper waters near Galicia. Tied to the mod's recurring Spanish-language naming conventions.
Spanish for "Bob the Sad" — a grief-driven character central to "Bubbletwister," searching for a lost love after making a deal to enter what the mod calls "Underguater Limbo." He returns as the playable character in "For You, Someday," which reveals he was sent there by Spongelord Xquarepants to reunite with Subaru.
A corrupted alter-ego triggered by a hallucinogenic condiment incident at a Krabs-run restaurant. Central to "PARACETAMOL," one of V3's more chaotic and tempo-shifting tracks.
A superhero-parody transformation in "Powerscaling," riffing on the Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy segments from the original SpongeBob show. Played for both comedy and spectacle.
Tied to "Barnacles!," a deliberate novelty tribute in V3 — the track opens in a Gacha Life-style animation with a short-lived Sans cameo before Barnacles Guy brings it to a sudden, gacha-style end.
The story behind each character — arcs, setting changes and how V3 reframes the earlier cast.
