Its premise is a parody in the truest sense: it riffs on a Nickelodeon side character — turning a background figure into a superhero-style presence — and builds a fast-scrolling, high-energy chart around them. The title makes the joke explicit: "powerscaling" is the fan habit of ranking characters by strength, and this song treats a glorified background character as if they're the strongest thing in the mod.
Story role
The opponent is Mermaid Bob, a superhero-parody transformation that riffs on Mermaid Man. The character entry positions the transformation as a deliberate tonal switcheroo: where most of the Bikini Horrors cast is twisted toward horror, Mermaid Bob leans into an over-the-top heroic register that the song then plays completely straight. The contrast is the joke — a parody that commits fully enough to feel like a real boss fight.
Musical structure
Chezzar keeps the formula that made Vash a Morir work as an opener, but pushes it further. Powerscaling is documented as complex and high-energy, and its defining gameplay trait is a fast-scrolling chart — notes come at the player quickly and densely. Powerscaling sits in the shorter half of the V3 tracklist alongside Vash a Morir and Ups, Me Caigo!, but it plays harder than its length suggests. For players judging songs by chart speed rather than runtime, it's one of the first genuine reaction tests in the V3 order — and one of the most quoted examples of the mod's willingness to make a joke mechanically difficult.
